Application Guidelines
Paint Industry
Features and Benefits:
This additive disperses pigments through steric stabilization, preventing flocculation. As a result, pigment particles are reduced in size, leading to improved gloss and color strength. Furthermore, the transparency of transparent pigments and the hiding power of opaque pigments are enhanced. Due to reduced viscosity, flow properties are improved, and pigment loading is increased.
This additive is particularly suitable for producing stable resin-free pigment concentrates with pigment contents ranging from 30% to 60%. These concentrates can be used for blending with standard water-based formulations, such as acrylic dispersions or water-soluble acrylic resins and emulsions.

This additive is also recommended for producing stable resin-free pigment concentrates for formulating water-based paints without floating color or streaking.
Recommended Levels
Additive levels (based on pigment):
Titanium dioxide and inorganic pigments: 4%—10%
Organic pigments: 30%—90%
Carbon black: 50%—140%
The above data are typical usage levels, and the optimal amount should be determined through a series of trials.
Incorporation and Processing Instructions
Grinding can be performed in water and co-solvent. Mix the additive with water, ensuring it is fully dispersed before adding the pigment.
