GENERAL DESCRIPTION
ANJEKA-6240 is a solvent-free wetting and dispersing agent designed for 100% solvent-free, solvent-based, and water-based UV-curable printing inks and coating systems. It exhibits high dispersing stability for organic pigments and carbon black, showcasing excellent viscosity reduction effects.
PRODUCT DATA
Chemical Composition: Copolymer with pigment-affinitive groups
The data provided on this sheet are typical values and not technical specifications.
Appearance: | Light brown viscous liquid |
Acid Value (mgKOH/g): | 10 - 20 |
Amine Value (mgKOH/g): | 5 - 15 |
Density (g/cm³ at 23℃): | 1.06 - 1.12 |
Non-volatile Content (%): | >98 |
STORAGE and TRANSPORT
Storage at temperatures below 0℃ may result in layering or oiliness; heat to 20℃ and mix thoroughly. Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.
SPECIAL NOTES
Surface treatment of certain organic pigments may adversely affect the efficacy of this wetting and dispersing agent. In such cases, it is advisable to test with untreated pigments of the same type. When used in coil coatings, consider the interaction between this cationic additive and acid catalysts. Free acids or epoxy-closed acids are more suitable than amine-closed acids.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Industrial Coatings
Features and Advantages:
Due to its balanced polarity and 100% active ingredients, ANJEKA-6240 achieves excellent pigment dispersing stability in 100% solvent-free, solvent-based, and water-based UV-curable systems. It particularly excels in the dispersing stability of organic pigments and carbon black. During the dispersion process, ANJEKA-6240 demonstrates outstanding and effective viscosity reduction while eliminating thixotropic behavior. The long-term storage stability of coating systems using ANJEKA-6240 is significantly improved. Its highly anti-flocculation properties make it suitable for coatings with superior aesthetic performance. It notably enhances color strength, transparency, gloss, and reduces haze.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS
Additive levels (as purchased) based on pigment:
Inorganic pigments: | 2 - 8% |
Organic pigments: | 15 - 35% |
Carbon black: | 30 - 60% |
The above data are empirical levels; the optimal levels should be determined through a series of experiments.
PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
For optimal performance, the additive should be added to the grinding resin and solvent, thoroughly mixed, and then the pigment should be added.
