APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Features and Benefits
Anjeka-7410 is a versatile silicone additive that delivers leveling, limited defoaming (system-dependent), and surface enhancement without compromising key performance attributes.
Key Advantages:
-
Thermal Stability: Withstands baking temperatures up to 250°C (480°F).
-
Surface Enhancement: Increases slip and improves scratch/abrasion resistance.
-
Defect Prevention: Effectively prevents Benard cell formation.
-
Particle Orientation: Improves the alignment of aluminum flakes and matting agents.
-
Process Stability: Stabilizes the curtain in curtain-coating applications.
-
Formulation Flexibility: Does not adversely affect intercoat adhesion or increase gloss, making it suitable for challenging systems such as high-solids polyurethanes and acid-cured polyesters.
Recommended Application Sectors
-
Solvent-borne industrial and wood coatings.
Recommended Dosage
-
0.1% – 0.5% on total formulation weight.
Note: This is a typical starting range. The optimum dosage should be determined through application testing.
Incorporation & Processing
Can be added at any stage of production, including as a post-additive.
