Anjeka-6882 is a wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-borne coating systems and resin-containing pigment concentrates with a wide range of compatibility. It is especially compatible with thermoplastic acrylic (TPA) and nitrocellulose systems.
Chemical composition: Block copolymer solutions containing basic pigment affinity groups.
The data given on this data sheet are typical values and are not product specifications.
Mix well before use. Layering or turbidity may occur during storage and transportation. Heat to 30-60°C and mix thoroughly.
Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.
This product should be stored in airtight containers.
Anjeka-6882 is an additive that unflocculates pigments by spatial resistance stabilization, which also causes the pigment particles to have a charge of the same nature. The resulting repulsive effect and spatial stabilization prevents pigment regrind, thus eliminating blooming in systems containing multiple pigments. Due to the small particle size of the deflocculated pigments, high gloss and enhanced color strength can be achieved. In addition, the transparency of transparent pigments and the hiding power of opaque pigments can be improved. Due to the reduced viscosity, the leveling properties are improved and the amount of pigment added can be increased.
Anjeka-6882 has excellent compatibility with all conventional solvent-borne coating substrates, especially with thermoplastic acrylic (TPA) and nitrocellulose systems. This additive is particularly recommended for the production of pigment concentrates containing resins. Due to its ability to reduce the viscosity of the abrasive significantly, it increases the pigment content of the color paste. The additive can also be used for co-milling pigments in solvent-borne coatings.
The amount of additive (in purchased form) is based on the pigment:
The above data are empirical and the optimum dosage should be determined through a series of tests.
In order to achieve optimum performance, the additives must be added to the abrasive before the pigments. Pre-mix the resin and solvent components of the mix and add the additives slowly with stirring. Only after the additives have been completely dispersed can the pigments be added.
