General Description:
ANJEKA-6501 is a wetting and dispersing agent designed for solvent-based and solvent-free coatings as well as printing inks. It stabilizes inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide, and significantly reduces the viscosity of grinding media.
Product Data:
Chemical Composition: Copolymer solution containing acidic groups.
The data provided on this sheet represents typical values and not the technical specifications of the product.
| Appearance: | Colorless to light yellow liquid |
| Density (g/cm³ at 23℃): | 1.01-1.11 |
| Acid Value (mgKOH/g): | 55-85 |
| Viscosity (cps at 25℃): | 400-700 |
| Non-volatile content % (20min, 150℃): | ≥93 |
Storage and Transport:
Before use, thoroughly stir the product, as layering or oiliness may occur at temperatures below 0℃. Heat to 30℃-40℃ and stir evenly. Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.
Special Notes:
Due to the product's high acid value, it may catalyze the cross-linking of baking paint systems. Check for viscosity increases during the coating system storage process.
Application Guidelines:
Features and Advantages:
This additive utilizes spatial hindrance to de-agglomerate pigments and maintain stability. The resulting small particle size of de-agglomerated pigment particles prevents color float and blooming in multi-pigment systems. This enhances the gloss, color intensity, transparency, and coverage of coatings. The additive reduces viscosity, improving flow properties, and allows for increased pigment loading. When used in high-speed electrostatic rotating coating with inorganic pigments, it significantly reduces overspray.
Application Sectors:
Recommended for use in solvent-based and solvent-free coatings, as well as printing inks, to stabilize inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide. Due to its anionic characteristics, this additive is an ideal choice for acid-catalyzed systems (such as coil coatings).
Recommended Levels:
Additive levels (as purchased) based on pigment:
| Titanium Dioxide: | 2%—4% |
| Inorganic Pigments: | 5%—10% |
The above data represents empirical levels; the optimal dosage should be determined through a series of experiments.
Processing Instructions:
For optimal performance, add the additive to the grinding media first, then introduce pigments.
Packaging:
25kg iron drum
200kg plastic drum
