General Description
Anjeka-4410 is a liquid rheology additive designed for medium-polarity and solvent-free coating systems, as well as ambient-curing resin systems. It imparts highly thixotropic flow behavior, improving anti-sagging and anti-settling properties. The additive can also be introduced at a later stage of production for viscosity adjustment.
Product Data
Chemical composition: Modified polyurea solution
Typical physical and chemical data (typical values, not product specifications):
Property Value
Appearance Yellow to brown liquid
Density (g/cm³, 23°C) 1.00 – 1.20
Viscosity (cps, 25°C) 200 – 3,000
Active ingredient (%) 52
Solvent N-methyl pyrrolidone
Storage & Transport
Temperature-sensitive. Store in a dry environment.
Slight turbidity may develop during storage but does not affect rheological performance.
Recommended storage period: not exceeding 12 months.
Application Guidelines
Industrial Coatings
Features & Benefits:
When added to the coating system under stirring, Anjeka-4410 forms a three-dimensional network structure, generating thixotropic flow behavior. This effectively prevents settling and improves anti-sagging properties — without compromising leveling.
Special Notes
Use with drying agents: Discoloration may occur, possibly due to the formation of metal complexes. In such cases, rheological effectiveness should be re-evaluated.
Yellowing risk: Under standard dosages, no negative effect on yellowing is observed. For sensitive systems or higher dosages, evaluation is recommended.
Reactive & catalytic systems: When used in systems containing cellulose nitrate, storage stability testing is advised.
PVC Resins
Properties & Benefits:
Anjeka-4410 is widely used in various PVC resin systems to:
Improve thixotropy
Enable faster processing of plastisols during manufacturing
Enhance anti-settling and anti-sagging behavior
Additional advantages in PVC systems:
Minimizes color bleeding in pigmented slurries
Controls coating set during baking
Increases stability of PVC foam during mechanical mixing
Recommended Levels
Based on PVC resin (as-supplied additive):
Objective Recommended Dosage
Prevent settling and color float 0.2% – 0.5%
Prevent sagging 0.5% – 1.0%
The above data are empirical. Optimum dosage should be determined through a series of tests.
Incorporation & Processing Instructions
Addition method: Add under medium shear to ensure uniform mixing and rapid dispersion.
Temperature control: Not required — easy to handle.
Addition stage: Can be added during grinding or post-added for viscosity adjustment.
Rheology development: If the additive is compatible with the system, a significant rheological increase will occur. Effectiveness depends on time and polarity and can typically be evaluated 2–4 hours after mixing.
Recommended for: Medium-polarity systems.
