GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Anjeka-6241 is suitable for dispersing organic pigments and carbon blacks in water, water/alcohol e ther media to prepare resin-free color pastes. It has high dispersion stability for organic pigments and carbon blacks, and shows excellent viscosity reduction effect.

STORAGE and TRANSPORT

The hydrophobic portion of the polyurethane binds and forms micelles, so the dispersant has a slightly turbid emulsion appearance. This does not affect use.

Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.

SPECIAL NOTES

The surface treatment of some organic pigments may adversely affect the effectiveness of this wetting and dispersing additive. In such cases, untreated pigments of the same type may be used.

Anjeka-6241 is particularly suitable for dispersing organic pigments and carbon blacks. In dispersing pigments, Anjeka-6241 exhibits excellent and effective viscosity reduction, eliminates thixotropy in flow behavior, and significantly improves storage stability. The color paste is prepared with very little foam and can be diluted with alcohol e ther. The high degree of deflocculation of this wetting and dispersing additive makes it suitable for use in coating systems requiring superior cosmetic properties, improved pigment coloration and transparency, significantly improved film gloss and reduced film haze.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS

The amount of additives (in purchased form) is based on the pigment:

Inorganic pigments: 5 - 12 %

Organic pigments: 30% - 80%

Carbon black: 50% - 120 %

*The above data are empirical and the optimum amount should be determined through a series of tests.
