General Description:
ANJEKA-4340A is a dispersion of Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate copolymer wax (EVA) designed for solvent-based effect coating systems, particularly in automotive coatings. It enhances the orientation of effect pigments and reduces settling in storage tanks.
Product Data:
Chemical Composition: Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate copolymer.
Appearance: | White flowing paste. |
Solvent: | n-Butyl Acetate / Xylene / n-Butanol. |
Density g/cm³ (23℃): | 0.83-0.89 |
Non-volatile content %: | 5.5 |
Storage and Transport:
Store in a cool, well-ventilated place, keep the container tightly closed, and away from heat and open flames. Storage temperature should be between 0 to 40℃ (product is in a soft wax state at 0℃, bring to 25℃ before use). Containers holding the product should not be directly exposed to radiant heat. Storage duration should not exceed 12 months.
Special Notes:
In case of drying, skinning, or lumping due to inadequate sealing of the wax paste, remove the dried portion before use to prevent dispersion difficulties. Stir thoroughly before use, and preferably use the entire container. Cleanliness test method involves dispersing the wax paste at 4 m/s for 5 minutes, adding 20% butyl acetate, stirring at 4 m/s for 2 minutes, and scraping a 100 μm film on a glass plate. The film should be transparent and particle-free during drying. Fineness test method includes dispersing the wax paste at 4 m/s for 5 minutes and using a 50 μm scraper fineness gauge; fineness: ≤20 μm.
Guidelines for Usage: Distinctive Features and Benefits: ANJEKA-4340A amplifies the directional impact of metallic pigments, including aluminum powder and pearl powder. It effectively enhances the angle-dependent color effects in metallic paints, preventing unevenness in the appearance of effect pigments. Moreover, it retards the settling of pigments within storage containers.
Application Areas: This product is recommended for use in solvent-based metallic flash primers and single-coat automotive metallic topcoats.
Recommended Dosages: The suggested additive levels (as provided) should range between 5-15% based on the total formulation, or an alternative approach is to incorporate 80-150% concerning the quantity of aluminum paste used. The data presented is indicative and derived from practical experience; determining the optimal levels is advised through a series of experimental trials.
Processing Instructions:
Before use, high-speed stir ANJEKA-4340A for 15-30 minutes until a uniform flowing liquid is achieved. Filter before use. In CAB systems, disperse CAB solution uniformly first, then add the stirred wax paste. Pigment paste and solvents should be added under stirring.
Packaging:
—50kg plastic drum.
