Application Guidelines
Industrial Coatings
Features and Benefits:
Innovative Attributes:
The additive operates by inducing deflocculation of pigments, employing steric hindrance as its mechanism. This results in the pigments attaining minute particle sizes through the deflocculation process, contributing to a lustrous finish and heightened color intensity. Furthermore, the transparency of transparent pigments is increased, and the covering power of opaque pigments is enhanced. The consequential reduction in viscosity not only improves flow properties but also allows for an increased pigment content in color pastes.
Application Scopes:
ANJEKA-6510 boasts extensive adaptability, proving highly suitable for a diverse range of solvent-based industrial and automotive paints. Its efficacy in carbon black dispersion is notable, and it can seamlessly integrate into resin-free color pastes tailored for various resin systems.
Recommended Levels
The following recommended levels are based on the ratio of dispersant solid content to pigment quantity
Inorganic pigments 20-30% by oil absorption.
Organic pigments (Green, Blue, Purple) 15-30% by BET value; Yellow, Red, Orange 25-45% by BET value.
Low-color carbon black 15-20% by DBP absorption value.
High-color carbon black 50-80% by DBP absorption value.
The above data are empirical amounts; optimal levels should be determined through a series of experiments.
Processing Instructions
For optimal performance, add the dispersant before introducing pigments in the grinding stage.
