DESCRIPTION

Anjeka 4420 is a liquid rheological additive suitable for water-borne coatings and adhesives. The additive produces highly thixotropic fluidity to improve sag resistance and settling resistance. The additive can be added later.

Viscosity: 300-1600 cps (25℃)

Non-volatile matter (20 min., 150 ℃): 50%

Solvents: N-Methylpyrrolidone

STOREGE AND TRANSPORTATION

Temperature sensitive. Store in dry condition. Slight turbidity of the material that occurs during the storage has no influence on the rheological effectiveness.

Application

Incorporate the additive into the coating system using moderate shear to ensure even and quick dispersion. Once integrated, the additive creates a three-dimensional network structure, providing thixotropic flow characteristics. This prevents particle sedimentation and improves anti-sagging properties without affecting leveling.

Recommended Addition Level

Use 0.2-1% of the additive (as supplied) based on the total formulation to prevent settling.

Use 0.5-2% to prevent sagging, depending on the solids content in the formulation.

Processing Instructions

Add the additive while stirring to ensure even distribution. Temperature control is not necessary. The additive can also be used to adjust viscosity later in the process by incorporating it as a post-additive.
