GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Anjeka-5530 is a highly effective silicone-polymer-based defoamer designed for solvent-based and solvent-free coating systems.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
The product may show separation or cloudiness when stored below 0°C. In such cases, warm to approximately 30°C and stir thoroughly until homogeneous. Keep in a cool, dry location.
Shelf life should preferably not exceed 12 months. Transport as non-hazardous material.

Anjeka-5530 provides powerful foam knockdown and long-lasting defoaming performance. It effectively eliminates foam generated during manufacturing and application processes, helping achieve a smooth, defect-free, high-gloss finish. This additive is particularly well suited for epoxy resin-based formulations.
APPLICATION SECTORS
Recommended for: anticorrosive coatings.
Suitable applications include: protective coatings, industrial coatings, automotive coatings, wood & furniture coatings, as well as coil and can coatings.
RECOMMENDED LEVELS
0.1–1.0% additive (as supplied) based on total formulation weight.
The recommended amounts are based on experience; the ideal dosage should be determined through laboratory testing for each specific system.
INCORPORATION AND PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
For best results, incorporate the defoamer into the grinding phase before milling begins. When adding at a later stage, apply sufficient high shear mixing to ensure complete and uniform dispersion and to avoid the risk of craters or film defects.
