GENERAL DESCRIPTION
ANJEKA-6090 is a high-molecular-weight wetting and dispersing agent designed for water-based coating systems, printing inks, and adhesives. It serves as a standard additive for resin-free pigment concentrates and is applicable to various pigments.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Chemical Composition: Solution of high-molecular-weight block copolymer with pigment-affinitive groups.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Coatings Industry
Key Features and Benefits
This additive excels in achieving pigment deflocculation through steric stabilization. The resulting diminutive particle sizes in deflocculated pigments contribute to elevated gloss levels and intensified color strength. Furthermore, it enhances transparency in clear pigments, while boosting concealing power in opaque pigments.
The reduction in viscosity enhances flow characteristics, facilitating increased pigment loading. Its high-molecular structure, coupled with a substantial number of hydrophobic units, ensures water resistance in dry film coatings.
Especially well-suited for the production of stable resin-free pigment concentrates with pigment contents ranging from 30% to 60%, these concentrated pigment dispersions find utility in tinting standard water-based bases. This includes applications in acrylic dispersions, water-soluble acrylic resins, and emulsions.

The additive is also recommended for producing stable resin-free pigment concentrates for preparing water-based coatings without floating color or mottling.
RECOMMENDED LEVELS
For optimal addition in resin-free pigment dispersions, calculate the best quantity based on pigment volume as follows:
Titanium dioxide and inorganic pigments: | 4%—10% |
Organic pigments: | 10%—90% |
Carbon black: | 30%—100% |
The above data represent empirical levels; the best levels should be determined through a series of experiments.
PROCESSING INSTRUCTION
Grinding should only be done in water (without resin, amine, and co-solvent). Mix the additive with water, and then add the pigment only after the additive is thoroughly dispersed.
