Product Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Anjeka-5520 is a high-efficiency, silicone-free defoaming additive developed for polyurethane resin systems. Owing to its specialized molecular structure, it effectively removes both micro- and macro-foam formed during manufacturing, application, and curing processes. The product is applicable to both solvent-borne and solvent-free formulations.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

Phase separation or slight turbidity may appear when stored below 5 °C. Warm the product to approximately 20 °C and mix thoroughly before use.
Store in a cool and dry location. The recommended storage period should not exceed 12 months.
 
 

SPECIAL NOTES

Due to its relatively strong incompatibility, the influence of this additive on transparency and the potential risk of cratering in clearcoat systems should be carefully evaluated, particularly in non-polar formulations.

Provides excellent defoaming efficiency with rapid removal of entrapped micro-bubbles

Suitable for high-shear processing methods such as high-speed mixing, knife coating, roller coating, and casting

Maintains intercoat adhesion and recoatability while reducing surface defects such as fisheyes and craters

Exhibits good compatibility and stability in solvent-based PU coatings and adhesives, as well as in high-viscosity solvent-free PU systems (e.g., flooring and potting compounds)

Solvent-based PU wood coatings, industrial coatings, plastic coatings, metallic coatings, solvent-free PU self-leveling floor coatings, and anticorrosive coatings.

1K and 2K PU structural adhesives, reactive hot-melt adhesives (PUR), electronic potting and encapsulation resins (especially in silicone-sensitive systems), and automotive sealants.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS

Recommended dosage is 0.1–1.0% (as supplied), based on the total formulation.
The optimum addition level should be established through laboratory evaluation.
 

INCORPORATION AND PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

For optimal performance, the defoamer should be incorporated before the grinding or dispersion stage.
If post-added, sufficient shear must be applied to ensure uniform dispersion and to prevent surface defects such as cratering.
