Anjeka-4410S preventing settling and sagging without compromising leveling properties


General Description
Anjeka-4410S is a high-performance liquid rheological modifier designed for medium-polarity and solvent-free coating formulations, as well as ambient-curing resin systems. It delivers strong thixotropic rheology, dramatically enhancing anti-sagging and anti-settling characteristics. As an advanced upgrade to Anjeka-4410, it offers improved efficiency and can be conveniently incorporated as a post-addition adjustment.

Storage and Transport
This product is sensitive to temperature extremes. Store under dry conditions. It remains clear even when cooled to -4°C. Any minor cloudiness that develops during storage has no influence on its rheological effectiveness. Do not exceed a shelf life of 12 months.

 

Application Guidelines

Industrial Coatings
Key Advantages:
Under moderate agitation, the additive rapidly builds a three-dimensional network, resulting in pronounced thixotropic behavior. This provides outstanding sag resistance and pigment suspension stability without sacrificing flow and leveling performance. It performs particularly well in epoxy-based systems.

 

Important Considerations:

Combining with driers may lead to discoloration (possibly from metal complex formation); always verify rheological performance in such formulations.
Standard addition levels do not promote yellowing. In critical systems, conduct yellowing tests, especially when considering higher dosages.
For reactive or catalyzed systems that include nitrocellulose, storage stability testing is strongly advised.

 

PVC Resin (Plastisol) Applications
Key Advantages:
This versatile liquid additive is extensively applied in PVC plastisol formulations to impart excellent thixotropy. It accelerates plastisol processing, markedly improves anti-settling and anti-sagging properties, substantially reduces pigment flooding/color floating in pastes, helps regulate viscosity build-up during baking, and enhances foam stability under mechanical frothing.

 

Recommended Addition Levels

0.2%–0.5% (as supplied) — for controlling settling and color floating/flooding
0.5%–1.0% (as supplied) — for effective anti-sagging performance

(These are guideline ranges only; the ideal dosage must be optimized through lab trials.)

 

Incorporation and Processing
Incorporate the additive using medium shear mixing to achieve fast and homogeneous distribution. No heating is necessary. It can be added either during the dispersion/grinding phase or as a post-addition viscosity correction. Once properly incorporated and compatible, the thixotropic effect strengthens progressively over time and is influenced by system polarity. Rheological assessment is typically recommended 2–4 hours after incorporation. The product is especially suited for medium-polarity formulations.
