Features and Benefits:
Anjeka-6045 achieves excellent pigment dispersion stability in lower alcohol systems, especially for inorganic pigments and carbon blacks. During the dispersion process, Anjeka-6045 exhibits excellent and effective viscosity reduction while eliminating thixotropy in the flow behavior of the paste. The long-term storage stability of pigment dispersion systems using Anjeka-6045 is also significantly improved. The high degree of deflocculation of this wetting and dispersing additive makes it suitable for use in systems with superior cosmetic properties, improved color strength and transparency, significantly improved gloss and reduced haze.
The amount of additives (in purchased form) is based on the pigment:
| Pigment Type | Amount (%) |
|---|---|
| Inorganic pigments | 2 - 8 % |
| Organic pigments | 10 - 50 % |
| Carbon black | 10 - 50 % |
*The above data are empirical and the optimum amount should be determined through a series of tests.
In order to obtain the best performance, the additives should be added to the grinding resin and solvent and mixed well before adding the pigments.
