Product Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Anjeka 4430 is a medium-polarity high-efficiency liquid rheology modifier tailored for solvent-borne systems. It is applicable to solvent-borne coatings, adhesives, sealants and other formulations.

It delivers outstanding rheology control performance: it endows paint films with excellent sag resistance and anti-settling properties, mitigates vertical sagging during adhesive application, and stabilizes filler suspension in systems. Supplied as a liquid, it features easy addition and simple dispersion with no pre-treatment required, and exhibits excellent compatibility with various raw materials.

After incorporation, it will not compromise coating gloss, transparency or fundamental physical and chemical properties of the system. It optimizes the handling feel during paint brushing and adhesive dispensing, and effectively improves the surface appearance of finished coatings and adhesive layers.

PRODUCT DATA

Chemical Composition: Polymeric urea-modified medium-polar polyamide liquid solution

Typical Physical & Chemical Data

Values listed herein are typical figures only and shall not be regarded as official product specifications.

Property Value
Appearance Yellow to brown liquid
Density (23°C), g/cm³ 0.8–1.1
Viscosity (25°C), cps 200–3000
Active Content, % 30
Solvent n-Butanol / Mineral Spirits
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

Temperature-sensitive; store under dry conditions. Minor turbidity may form during storage, which will not impair rheological performance.

Its efficacy remains unaffected when incorporated under dispersion conditions at temperatures ≥ 50 °C.

Shelf life is recommended not to exceed 24 months.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Applicable for industrial coatings, adhesives and sealants

Features & Benefits

When added to coating systems under agitation, it interlocks with pigments and fillers to build a three-dimensional network structure, generating thixotropic flow behavior ideal for anti-settling and sag resistance without compromising levelling performance.

SPECIAL NOTES

This product interacts with pigments and fillers, which may lead to increased system viscosity and reduced gloss. This issue can be alleviated by combining with wetting and dispersing additives to stabilize solid particles.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS
  • 0.2%–0.5% (as supplied) for anti-settling performance
  • 0.5%–1% (as supplied) for sag resistance

The above figures are empirical dosages; optimal loading shall be confirmed via serial laboratory trials.

INCORPORATION AND PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

Add this rheology modifier to coating systems under medium shear agitation to ensure homogeneous and rapid dispersion. No precise temperature control is mandatory during addition.

It can be introduced at the grinding stage, or post-added to adjust finished viscosity.

If compatible with the target system, rheological performance will develop significantly over time, subject to system polarity. Rheology evaluation is generally conducted 2–4 hours after mixing.

This additive is recommended for medium-to-high polarity systems.
