Carbon black dispersing agent Anjeka6161A highly lightweight acrylic system good compatibility
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
ANJEKA-6161A is used as a wetting and dispersing agent for solvent-borne automotive coatings, industrial coatings and pigment concentrates. It is particularly suitable for stabilising highly pigmented carbon blacks and organic pigments, especially two-component polyurethane and baking systems, and significantly reduces the viscosity of abrasive materials.

SPECIAL NOTES
The surface treatment of some organic pigments may have an adverse effect on the effectiveness of the wetting and dispersing agent. In this cases, the same type of untreated pigment can be tried. If used in coil coatings, the interaction between the cationic promoter and acid catalyst must be considered. Free acids or epoxy-encapsulated acids are more suitable than amine-encapsulated acids.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Features and Benefits.
The additive deflocculates and stabilizes the pigments through steric hindrance. ANJEKA-6161A provides the same electrical charge to the pigment particles. The resulting repulsive forces and spatially restricted stabilization effectively avoid possible co-flocculation and make multi-pigment systems free from floating. Hence increases the gloss, color intensity, transparency and coverage power of the paint. It also reduces the grinding viscosity.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS
Additive dosage (in purchased form) based on pigment.
Titanium dioxide: 5% - 6%
Inorganic pigments: 10% - 15%
Organic pigments: 30%-80%
Carbon black: 70% - 140%
The above figures are empirical and the optimum dosage should be determined through a series of experiments.
INCORPORATION and PROCESSING INSTRUCTIOS
For optimal performance, the resin of the abrasive should be premixed with the solvent component, then the additives should be added slowly and with constant stirring, followed by the pigments. The pigment should not be added until the additives are well mixed.
