GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Anjeka-7356 is a high-performance, silicone- and fluorine-free surface additive engineered to significantly enhance the surface energy of coatings. It demonstrates excellent compatibility across a wide spectrum of formulations, including water-based, solvent-borne, UV-curable, and high-solids systems.

Anjeka-7356 is designed to optimize both the final film properties and the in-process performance of liquid coatings:

  • Enhanced Substrate Adhesion: Effectively increases the surface energy, particularly the polar component, of cured films, promoting superior adhesion for subsequent layers of paint, laminates, adhesives, or inks.
  • Improved Topcoat Wetting & Leveling: Promotes better wetting on the cured substrate, contributing to excellent flow and leveling of the topcoat.
  • Superior In-Can Leveling: Enhances the leveling properties within the formulation itself.
  • Broad Compatibility & Clarity: Does not affect the surface tension of liquid coatings and maintains high transparency in clear varnishes. It is compatible with water-based, solvent-borne, UV, and high-solids systems.
Recommended Dosage (as supplied, on total formulation weight)
Water-based Systems (low co-solvent): 0.1% – 0.5%
Water-based Systems (high co-solvent): 0.6% – 1.0%
Solvent-borne Systems (polar): 1.0% – 2.0%
Solvent-borne Systems (non-polar): 0.5% – 1.5%

Note: The dosages above are empirical starting points. The optimal dosage must be determined through application-specific testing.

Special Technical Notes
  • Migration Mechanism: A controlled degree of incompatibility within the formulation is essential for Anjeka-7356 to migrate and align effectively at the coating-air interface.
  • Thermal Stability: Curing efficiency and long-term performance are influenced by bake temperature. The polyether structure may degrade at temperatures exceeding 170°C for prolonged periods (>10-15 minutes).
  • Non-Reactive: This additive does not chemically cross-link with the film-forming resin. Its long-term effectiveness is dependent on the formulation's overall stability.
