General Description:
ANJEKA-6501 is a wetting and dispersing agent designed for solvent-based and solvent-free coatings as well as printing inks. It stabilizes inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide, and significantly reduces the viscosity of grinding media.
Product Data:
Chemical Composition: Copolymer solution containing acidic groups.
The data provided on this sheet represents typical values and not the technical specifications of the product.
Appearance: | Colorless to light yellow liquid |
Density (g/cm³ at 23℃): | 1.01-1.11 |
Acid Value (mgKOH/g): | 55-85 |
Viscosity (cps at 25℃): | 400-700 |
Non-volatile content % (20min, 150℃): | ≥93 |
Storage and Transport:
Before use, thoroughly stir the product, as layering or oiliness may occur at temperatures below 0℃. Heat to 30℃-40℃ and stir evenly. Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.
Special Notes:
Due to the product's high acid value, it may catalyze the cross-linking of baking paint systems. Check for viscosity increases during the coating system storage process.
Application Guidelines:
Key Features and Benefits:
This additive employs spatial hindrance to effectively disperse pigments and maintain stability. The resulting minute particle size of de-agglomerated pigment particles prevents color float and blooming, particularly in multi-pigment systems. This leads to enhanced gloss, heightened color intensity, improved transparency, and superior coverage in coatings. Additionally, the additive reduces viscosity, enhancing flow properties and enabling increased pigment loading. In applications involving high-speed electrostatic rotating coating with inorganic pigments, it significantly minimizes overspray.
Application Areas:
Highly recommended for incorporation into solvent-based and solvent-free coatings, as well as printing inks, to stabilize inorganic pigments, with a specific emphasis on titanium dioxide. Given its anionic characteristics, this additive proves to be an excellent choice for acid-catalyzed systems, such as coil coatings.
Recommended Levels:
Additive levels (as purchased) based on pigment:
Titanium Dioxide: | 2%—4% |
Inorganic Pigments: | 5%—10% |
The above data represents empirical levels; the optimal dosage should be determined through a series of experiments.
Processing Instructions:
For optimal performance, add the additive to the grinding media first, then introduce pigments.
Packaging:
25kg iron drum
200kg plastic drum
