GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
ANJEKA-6503 is a copolymer containing acidic functional groups. It serves as a dispersant suitable for solvent-based/UV coating systems and inks, specifically designed for dispersing matting agents and inorganic pigments.
PRODUCT DATA:
Chemical Composition: Copolymer with acidic functional groups
The data provided on this datasheet represents typical values and is not indicative of product specifications.
Appearance: | Yellow to brown liquid |
Acid Value (mgKOH/g): | 50-150 |
Density (g/cm³ at 23℃): | 1.05-1.15 |
Viscosity (cps at 25℃): | 300-800 |
Non-volatile Content (%): | 98 |
STORAGE and TRANSPORTATION:
Thoroughly stir before use, as layering or oiliness may occur at temperatures below 0℃. Heat to 30℃—40℃ and mix uniformly. Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.
SPECIAL NOTES:
Due to the relatively high acid value of the product, it may catalyze cross-linking in baking paint systems, leading to an increase in viscosity during the storage of coating systems. In PE systems, it might reduce coating drying speed. The optimal dosage should be determined based on actual experimental conditions.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES:
Coatings Industry and Printing Inks
Features and Advantages:
This additive utilizes spatial hindrance to de-agglomerate pigments and maintain stability. The small particle size of de-agglomerated pigment particles in matting agent systems results in a smooth appearance without blooming. This enhances the gloss, color intensity, and transparency of the coating. The additive significantly reduces viscosity, improving flow properties and allowing for increased matting agent loading. In high-speed electrostatic spray application of inorganic pigments, it markedly reduces overspray.
APPLICATION SECTORS:
Recommended for use in solvent-based and solvent-free coatings, as well as printing inks, to stabilize inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide. Due to its anionic nature, the additive is an ideal choice for acid-catalyzed systems (such as coil coatings).
RECOMMENDED LEVELS:
Additive levels (as purchased) based on pigment quantity:
Matting Agents: | 10%-50% |
Inorganic Pigments: | 1%-6% |
The above data is based on empirical quantities; optimal levels should be determined through a series of experiments.
PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS:
For optimal performance, the additive should be added to grinding materials first before introducing pigments.
