Paint dispersing agent dispersing agent in oil-based paints and coatings for Automotive refinish dispersants
DESCRIPTION
Anjeka 6110 is a wetting and dispersing agent for solvent-borne and solvent-free coatings, and printing inks. Anjeka 6110 can stabilize the inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide, and significantly reduce the millbase viscosity.
PRODUCT DATA
Composition
Solution of a copolymer with acidic groups.
Typical Properties
The values given in this data sheet describe the typical properties and do not constitute specification limits.
Acid value: | 55-63 mg KOH/g |
Density: | 1.02 g/ml (20℃) |
Viscosity: | 20-50 cps (25℃) |
Non-volatile matter(20min,150℃): | 50% |
Solvent: | triethylene glycol butyl ethe r/xylene |
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
Separation and turbidity may occur during storage or transportation below 0 ℃. Heat to 30-40℃ and mix well before use.
ATTENTION
Because of its high acid value, the additive may potentially accelerate the reaction of baking systems. Check the increase in viscosity during storage is necessary.
APPLICATION
Industrial coating and printing ink
Characters and advantages
Anjeka 6110 deflocculates pigments by means of steric stabilization. Because the particle sizes of the deflocculated pigments is tiny, the high levels of gloss can be achieved and the color strength is improved. In addition, the transparency of transparent pigments and the hiding power of opaque are also improved. The viscosity is reduced strongly. In this way, the flow characteristic is improved and higher pigment loading is possible. For inorganic pigmented coatings, which are processed via electrostatic high rotation technique, haze is significantly reduced.
RECOMMENDED USE
Anjeka 6110 is recommended for all solvent-borne and solvent-free coatings and printing inks to stabilize inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide. Its anionic character makes it ideal for acid-catalyzed systems (e.g. coil coatings).
RECOMMENDED ADDITION LEVEL
The amount of additive (supplied form) is based on the pigment.
Titanium dioxide: 2-4%
Inorganic pigment: 5-10%
The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal levels are determined through a series of laboratory tests.
PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
For the best performance, the additive should be added into the millbase before the pigment added.
