Carbon Black Dispersing Agent wetting dispersant for paints and coatings
Product Overview
ANJEKA-6050 is a wetting and dispersing agent designed for solvent-based industrial coatings, wood coatings, and concentrated pigment dispersions. It is particularly suitable for stabilizing carbon black and organic pigments, especially in two-component polyurethane and baking systems, significantly reducing the viscosity of grinding materials.

Storage and Transport
Storage at temperatures below 0℃ may cause separation or cloudiness; heating to 20℃ and thorough mixing is recommended. Storage time is not advised to exceed 12 months.
Special Notes
Surface treatment of certain organic pigments may adversely affect the efficacy of this wetting and dispersing agent. In such cases, experimenting with untreated pigments of the same type is recommended. For coil coatings, consider the interaction between this cationic additive and acid catalysts. Free acids or epoxy-sealed acids are more suitable than amine-sealed acids.
Application Guidelines
Industrial Coatings
Features and Advantages:
Leveraging steric hindrance, this additive disperses pigments and ensures stability. ANJEKA-6050 induces a uniform charge among pigment particles, fostering both repulsion and steric hindrance. This dual mechanism effectively prevents possible co-aggregation, safeguarding multi-pigment systems from color floating or flocculation. Furthermore, it boosts coatings by improving gloss, intensifying color, enhancing transparency, and increasing hiding power—all while decreasing grinding viscosity.

Recommended Levels
Additive levels (as purchased) based on pigments:
Titanium Dioxide: 1%—5%
Inorganic Pigments: 5%—15%
Organic Pigments: 30%—80%
Carbon Black: 70%—140%
The above data represents empirical levels; optimal levels should be determined through a series of experiments.
Incorporation and Processing Instructions
For optimal performance, add the additive to the grinding medium before introducing pigments. Pre-mix the resin and solvent components of the grinding medium, then slowly add the additive while stirring continuously. Do not add pigments until the additive is uniformly mixed.
