Pigment dispersing agent EFKA4010 targeting both inorganic and organic pigments
ANJEKA—6401
General Description:
Anjeka 6401 is a modified polyurethane copolymer solution with acidic functional groups, primarily designed for dispersion in solvent-based medium/low polarity resin coatings and ink systems, targeting both inorganic and organic pigments.
Product Data:
Chemical Composition: Modified polyurethane copolymer solution with acidic functional groups
The data provided on this sheet represents typical values and is not indicative of the product's technical specifications.
Acid Value (mgKOH/g): | 65-95 |
Density (g/cm³ at 23℃): | 0.94-1.04 |
Viscosity (cps at 25℃): | 25-150 |
Non-volatile content (%): | 50 |
Solvent: | PMA/Xylene |
Storage and Transport:
Before use, thoroughly stir the solution. Separation or clouding may occur at temperatures below 0℃; heat to 30℃—40℃ and stir evenly. Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.
Special Notes:
Due to its acidic nature, the product may catalyze the cross-linking of baking paint systems. Check the compatibility of the coating system during storage.
Application Guidelines:
Industrial Coatings and Printing Inks
Characteristics and Advantages:
This additive employs steric hindrance to disperse pigments, maintaining stability. The small particle sizes of the dispersed pigments prevent color floatation and blooming in multi-pigment systems, enhancing the coating's gloss, color intensity, transparency, and hiding power. The additive reduces viscosity, improving flow properties and allowing for higher pigment loading. When used in electrostatic high-speed rotation coating with inorganic pigments, it significantly reduces haze.
Additives & Instruments:
Application Sectors:
It is recommended to use this additive in solvent-based and solvent-free coatings, as well as printing inks, to stabilize inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide. Due to its anionic nature, the additive is an ideal choice for acid-catalyzed systems, such as coil coatings.
Recommended Levels:
Additive levels (based on pigment):
Titanium Dioxide: 2%—4%
Inorganic Pigments: 5%—10%
Organic Pigments: 10%—80%
The above data represents empirical levels; optimal levels should be determined through a series of experiments.
Incorporation and Processing Instructions:
For optimal performance, add the additive to the grinding media before incorporating pigments.
Packaging:
25kg iron drums
200kg plastic drums
