General Description:
ANJEKA-6502 is a copolymer solution containing acidic groups, designed as a dispersant suitable for solvent-based/UV system coatings and ink systems. It is well-suited for the dispersion of matting agents and inorganic pigments.
Product Data:
Chemical Composition: Copolymer solution containing acidic groups.
The data provided on this sheet represents typical values and not the technical specifications of the product.
Appearance: | Light yellow fluid |
Acid Value (mgKOH/g): | 120-170 |
Density (g/cm³ at 23℃): | 1.05-1.14 |
Viscosity (cps at 25℃): | 300-900 |
Non-volatile content %: | 98 |
Storage and Transport:
Before use, thoroughly stir the product, as layering or oiliness may occur at temperatures below 10℃. Heat to 30℃—40℃ and stir evenly. Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.
Special Notes:
Due to the product's high acid value, it may catalyze the cross-linking of baking paint systems. Check for viscosity increases during the coating system storage process.
Properties and Advantages:
This additive utilizes spatial hindrance to disperse pigments and uphold stability. The resulting minute particle size of de-agglomerated pigment particles imparts a refined appearance to various matte ink systems, preventing unwanted blooming. This leads to an enhancement in gloss, color intensity, and transparency within coatings. Moreover, the additive effectively reduces viscosity, improving flow characteristics and allowing for an increased loading of matting agents. In applications involving high-speed electrostatic rotating coating with inorganic pigments, it substantially minimizes overspray.
Areas of Application:
Highly recommended for incorporation into solvent-based and solvent-free coatings, as well as printing inks, for the stabilization of inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide. Due to its anionic attributes, this additive proves to be an excellent choice for acid-catalyzed systems, such as those found in coil coatings.
Recommended Levels:
Additive levels (as purchased) based on pigment:
Matting Agents: | 10%—50% |
Inorganic Pigments: | 1%—6% |
The above data represents empirical levels; the optimal dosage should be determined through a series of experiments.
Processing Instructions:
For optimal performance, add the additive to the grinding media first, then introduce pigments.
Packaging:
25kg internally coated iron drum
200kg ring plastic drum
