ANJEKA-6840 UV colour paste dispersant Pigment Dispersing Agent for carbon black and organic pigments
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
ANJEKA-6840 is a wetting and dispersing agent designed for solvent-based automotive coatings, industrial coatings, UV-curable coatings, and pigment concentrate pastes. It is particularly well-suited for stabilizing ultrafine carbon black and organic pigments, significantly reducing the viscosity of grinding materials, and effectively enhancing color development.
PRODUCT DATA:
Chemical Composition: High molecular weight block copolymer solution with pigment-affinitive groups.
Typical Physicochemical Data:
Appearance: | Yellow liquid |
Amine Value (mgKOH/g): | 2-15 |
Density (g/cm³ at 23℃): | 0.92-1.05 |
Non-volatile Content (%): | 45 |
Solvent: | Diesters |
Note: The data provided on this datasheet represents typical values and is not indicative of product specifications.
STORAGE and TRANSPORTATION:
Storage at temperatures below 15℃ may lead to layering or crystallization. Heat to 40℃ and thoroughly mix before use. Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.
SPECIAL NOTES:
Surface treatments of certain organic pigments may adversely affect the effectiveness of this wetting and dispersing agent. In such cases, experimenting with untreated pigments of the same type is recommended.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES:
Coatings Industry
Features and Advantages:
This additive utilizes spatial hindrance to de-agglomerate pigments and maintain stability. ANJEKA-6840 imparts the same charge to pigment particles, resulting in repulsion and spatial hindrance that effectively prevent possible co-agglomeration. This enhances the gloss, color intensity, transparency, and coverage of the coating while also reducing grinding viscosity.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS:
Additive levels (as purchased) based on pigment quantity:
Titanium Dioxide: | 5%-6% |
Inorganic Pigments: | 10%-15% |
Organic Pigments: | 20%-80% |
Carbon Black: | 30%-120% |
The above data is based on empirical quantities; optimal levels should be determined through a series of experiments.
PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS:
For optimal performance, the additive should be added to grinding materials first before introducing pigments.
