GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Anjeka-6050 wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-borne industrial coatings, wood coatings and pigment concentrates. Particularly suitable for stabilizing carbon blacks and organic pigments, especially in two-component polyurethane and baking systems, and significantly reduces the viscosity of abrasives.

STORAGE and TRANSPORT
Layering or turbidity may occur at temperatures below 0°C. Heat to 20°C and mix thoroughly.
Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.
SPECIAL NOTES
The surface treatment of some organic pigments may adversely affect the effectiveness of this wetting and dispersing additive. In such cases, untreated pigments of the same type may be used. When used in coil coatings, the interaction between the cationic additive and the acid catalyst must be considered. Free or epoxy-encapsulated acids are preferable to amine-encapsulated acids.

The additive unflocates and stabilizes the pigment by means of spatial site resistance.Anjeka-6050 provides the same charge to the pigment particles. The resulting repulsive and spatial stabilization prevents possible co-flocculation and prevents floating and blooming in multi pigmented systems. The result is an increase in gloss, color strength, transparency and hiding power, as well as a reduction in milling viscosity.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS
The amount of additives (in purchased form) is based on the pigment:
Titanium dioxide: 1%-5%
Inorganic pigments: 5%-15
Organic pigments: 30%-80
Carbon black: 70%-140
The above figures are empirical and the optimum dosage should be determined by a series of tests.
INCORPORATION and PROCESSING INSTRUCTIOS
For optimum performance, add the additives to the abrasive before adding the pigments. Pre-mix the resin and solvent components of the abrasive and then slowly add the additives under constant sweeping. Do not add pigments until the additives are well mixed.
